What do you do when you’re pressed for time but still want a nutritious breakfast? Make a smoothie to-go, of course!
This green smoothie is quick, easy and mess-free. I know many people use spinach in their smoothies but if you don’t have any, any greens on-hand works fine too. Just blanch them in hot water for a few seconds if you’re not a big fan of raw greens (careful not to leave them in the water for too long, though!).
Ingredients:
1 1/2 frozen bananas
A handful of greens
3/4 cup milk of choice (I use plant-based milk)
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/4 cup oats
Optional:
Yoghurt
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour the smoothie into a cup, and top with yoghurt if desired.
